Eade work uses a wide variety of materials and processes. She is interested in the meditative power of interacting with objects that have no purpose. This is something she explores on a personal level when she is making, but also something she tries to create for other people that interact with her work. Her work is based on research that shows the different ways that someone can be encouraged to engage and connect to an object; using what marketing companies use to increase sales, but instead to increase peace of mind.
The other side of Eade’s practice is formed by the work she does as part of ‘Rive Studio’, a studio formed with surface designer Laura Jane Atkinson. The projects they take on are aimed at providing creative solutions to environmental and social problems.
